Honey Is Not A Cure For Coronavirus But...

There is no known cure for coronavirus. Anyone who claims otherwise is misleading people.

However, if you have a strong immune system you are less likely to catch it. And if you do catch it you are more likely to quickly recover from it.

According to the World Health Organisation, Coronavirus COVID-19 is a serious illness that can affect your lungs and airways, leading to organ damage and death.

The world is currently battling the coronavirus pandemic. Most of the world is in some form of lockdown. Over 5 million people have already died from coronavirus. Wearing face masks, social distancing and vaccines have become the norm.

Businesses are taking advantage of this hysteria by claiming their products will protect people from coronavirus and then they are raising the prices of those products.

Most people who catch coronavirus will make a complete recovery. Most people will not die from coronavirus.

That said, coronavirus is a serious illness which can have severe consequences and it spreads easily from person to person.

Those most at risk from coronavirus are those with compromised immune systems, such as the elderly and those with existing health conditions.

There are a number of mythical cures against coronavirus floating around: eating garlic, avoiding ice cream, drinking water every 15 minutes, are just some of them.

There is no evidence that any particular food will prevent one from catching coronavirus.

What there is evidence for is that a strong immune system can make you less likely to catch coronavirus and more likely to recover from it quickly if you do catch it.

The immune system is the body's natural "defence" mechanism. It is the organs and processes within the body that protect the body against disease-causing foreign bacteria and viruses.

There are a number of things that strengthen the body's immunity, including:

Eating a balanced diet rich in natural foods
Drinking at least 2 litres of fresh water every day.
Getting enough sleep every night (7-9 hours for adults, according to the NHS)
Regular exercise (30 minutes of moderate exercise five times a week)

And there are a number of things that weaken the body's immunity, including:

Poor diet rich in processed foods
Eating too much sugar
Taking antibiotics frequently
Stress
Too much, or too little, exercise

We are what we eat. This is why diet is at the top of this list. A healthy diet is rich in natural foods.

Nutritionists say that a healthy diet is one rich in fresh fruit and vegetables. That is because they contain nutrients that nourish the body.

But there is one natural food that leaves every other food far behind when it comes to nourishing and strengthening the body's immunity. That is raw organic honey.

A teaspoon of medical grade raw organic honey mixed in a glass of warm water and drunk 30 minutes before breakfast can help strengthen your immunity in as little as four weeks.

Lab-certified medical grade honey is honey with a rating at least 10+ Total Activity. The effect of the honey is also greater if the honey is monofloral, from herbs, flowers and plants that have medicinal properties.

There simply is no other food in existence that contains the number of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, enzymes, prebiotics, flavonoids and other living nutrients that raw organic honey contains.

There are thousands of scientific studies on the health benefits of raw organic honey, including in strengthening the body's immune system.

But there is also anecdotal evidence that if the honey is genuine, it helps the body produce antibodies, as the incredible story of Saeed from Saudi Arabia indicates.

Saeed is one of our regular customers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He shared with us his story. An otherwise healthy young man of 26, he has been struggling with food allergies since childhood.

In October 2018 Saeed was advised by his doctor to take an IgG test. An IgG immunoglobin test is a blood test which indicates the level of food antibodies in your body.

An antibody is a protein in the blood that the immune system uses to fight bacteria and viruses.

In the weeks leading up to the blood test Saeed had been eating a teaspoon of our honey once a day in water. Saeed went to the clinic, gave his blood, then waited while the sample was sent to the CTL-Labor laboratory in Germany for analysis.

Saeed's test results came back from Germany several weeks later. They were astonishing. The laboratory tested Saeed's blood sample for the following 90 food-based antibodies:

19 vegetables
10 cereals
4 meats
13 spices and herbs
12 fruits
5 seafoods
2 salads
12 seeds and nuts
5 milk products
2 sweeteners
eggs, mushrooms, peppermint, food additives and yeast

Saeed very kindly shared a copy of the report with us (personal details redacted for privacy) so you can see for yourself.

The third highest food IgG content was cow's milk at 15.8ug/ml, the second highest was sweet pepper at 19.5ug/ml and the highest, at a whopping 46.6ug/ml was... honey.

The medical conclusion of this report is outside the scope of this article. However, it provides further evidence that our honey is a living substance, full of living nutrients that produce antibodies in the body and strengthen its immune system.

Anecdotal evidence of one test for one patient is nowhere near the clinical standard required to make health claims for our honeys. And nor can it be inferred from this report that our honeys will protect you against any particular diseases, whether coronavirus COVID-19 or any other viruses.

But we are confidently able to say that our honey will strengthen your body's immune system.

The best way to take raw organic honey is one teaspoon a day mixed in a glass of warm water and drunk 30 minutes before breakfast on an empty stomach.

Water activates and releases the nutrients of raw organic honey, and the 30 minutes allows the body to absorb these nutrients before anything else enters your body.

But the honey must be raw (unpasteurised) and certified organic (free of chemicals and antibiotics). Supermarket honey is no better than sugar in water, as we have described in other blog posts.

The two medical grade honeys from our range that we recommend to strengthen your body's immunity are, in order of decreasing strength:

20+ Active Raw Organic Coffee Bean Honey From Mexico (our most powerful honey, equal to 20+ TA or MGO 829 manuka)
10+ Active Raw Organic Orange Blossom Honey From Mexico (equal to 10+ TA or MGO 263 manuka)

Yes, medical grade honey is more expensive than other honeys. But it is cheaper than spending a month in hospital.
