A Recipe For Relieving Appendicitis Symptoms

Appendicitis is a painful condition that can be treated with natural remedies. Raw organic honey and ginger are well-known for their pain-relieving properties, so when used in combination with turmeric and curcumin, they make a potent anti-inflammatory mix.

Appendicitis Symptoms

If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, it is important to seek medical attention as soon as possible:
  • pain in the lower right side of your abdomen that begins suddenly and worsens over time
  • fever (usually 102° F or greater) with or without chills
  • nausea and vomiting
  • loss of appetite
  • diarrhoea
  • abdominal swelling

The Research

A recent scientific study published in the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2021 has shown that herbs such as curcumin can be effective in relieving inflammation associated with appendicitis.

The researchers discovered that the curcuminoids found in turmeric were able to inhibit COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes which help synthesize prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are responsible for increasing inflammation in the body, especially during an acute appendicitis attack.

The Recipe

turmeric curcumin mixed in water

Add 1 tablespoon of ACTIVE 20+ Raw Organic Coffee Bean Honey to a cup of warm (not hot) water. Stir until the honey is completely dissolved. Add 1 teaspoon each of ginger and turmeric, and 1/2 teaspoon each curcumin and cayenne pepper.

Only use real honey, not fake honey:

Remember that the honey you use must be real honey. Commercially processed cheap honey such as that found in supermarkets has lost most of its properties. It is no better than sugar in water and as such, it actually makes IBS worse.

Only use raw organic honey. Raw means the honey is unpasteurised and has not been heat treated. Organic means the honey is independently certified to be free of chemicals and antibiotics harmful to humans.
